As the Keane family has been involved in the business, professional and social life of Claremorris and the surrounding area for over 150 years, Michael Keane set up his own practice – Michael Keane & Co., Solicitors - in his home town of Claremorris in November 1974 having graduated from University College Dublin in 1972 and from the Law School of the Law Society of Ireland in 1973.

Alison became Principal of the firm of Michael Keane & Co., Solicitors upon Michael Keane's retirement in 2020. 

 

Patrick McEllin Solicitor commenced practice in Claremorris in 1939 and was one of the most prominent and highly regarded lawyers in the West of Ireland. His son Ward McEllin continued to grow the practice until his retirement in late 2021 when the practice merged with Michael Keane & Co., Solicitors and continued under the name Keane McEllin Solicitors on James Street, Claremorris, County Mayo. Keane McEllin Solicitors continues to provide services to a substantial client base offering a wide range of legal services based on decades of experience, expertise and discretion.
